Music Video News

A friend and fellow film maker Doug Cook recently directed a music video for a Heavy Metal group called Divinity. The Song is called "Lay in the Bed You've Made". I did most of the VFX for the music video. Check it out here:

Great Inspiration

If you've never been to NO FAT CLIPS! you really need to check it out. A very simple looking blog with a great mandate - Music videos, short movies, and other kinds of short visual entertainment.

But what really makes this site stand out is the quality of their content. Everything I see on that site is fantastic. Give it a go, I'm sure you'll bookmark it.

Ming Film Fest

My film "What Goes Around" screened twice yesterday @ Ming on 17th ave. I've been there before and didn't really know what to expect when it comes to hosting a film festival. The Venue is small and intimate with a Chinese/Communist/Red theme and not a ton of open space. I had about 20 friends show up and cheer the film on. The food was tasty and I was drinking Kilkenny which always goes down nicely.

The judging for the films happens on September 11th. We'll see how I do!

Video for X929's The Show: Destroying Attack in Black's guitar

My friends at the show asked for my help in creating a video to destroy a guitar given to them by the band Attack in Black. Their idea was to use a scene from a film to "destroy" the guitar. So we decided on the printer scene from "Office Space". We shot it in my backyard for about 2 hours. A few friends stopped by to help out as well which made for a fun afternoon.

The Show is also interested in seeing your take on destroying the Attack in Black guitar. Drop them a line @ theshow@x929.ca and let them know you're interested!
